What is martin ivens?

Martin Ivens is a British journalist and editor who was born on August 25, 1959, in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a degree in History. Ivens began his journalistic career as a reporter for the Scottish Daily Express in 1981, and later moved to The Sunday Times. In 2013, he became the Editor of The Sunday Times, succeeding John Witherow. He held this position until February 2021 when he stepped down to be replaced by Emma Tucker. During his tenure, he oversaw numerous investigations and campaigns including the "War on Plastic" and exposed the scandal of hundreds of children being damaged by epileptic drugs. He is known for his conservative views and has been a regular commentator on politics and current affairs in the UK.
